Check out these three (3) websites for the most up to date, accurate and complete market data...
The first two (2) websites below offer good information concerning homes available in our area. Both sites download their data directly from the MLS database (the one used by Realtors) as opposed to others that have a limited number of homes. All other sites are notorious for data that is outdated, inaccurate, and incomplete, sending us on wild goose chases. The one shortcoming of the two recommended sites is that they do not stay up to date with regard to under-contract status. They are, however, excellent for giving you a good snapshot of what you can expect with regard to the type of homes, pricing, our current market, etc. Also, the information you discover gives me a good idea of what you are attracted to, so please feel free to send me any links to homes you like. I'll use them as a baseline and be certain we see them, if available, when you begin your home search.
The website to use to acquire information about current values for properties anywhere in the United States is one created by The Office of Housing Enterprise Oversight. It has far better data than any commercial site. This is due to the fact they sample much more targeted information in a far wider range of specific markets than do any of the commonly found sites.
